Teams

Three teams are participating in the 2025 Amateur League:

• ASKÖ Basketball Club Villach Eagles
• BBC Spittal Lakers
• IFX Hoopers

Responsibilities of the Home Team

• The home team provides the referees at its own expense.
• In the event of a game postponement, the home team immediately informs the referees it has appointed.
• The home team provides the sports hall at its own cost.
• The home team provides the scorer’s table and the timekeepers.
• The home team chooses the jersey colour; the away team must change its jerseys if necessary.
• The home team sends the game results as soon as possible to wettspiel@basketball-villach.at.

Responsibilities of the Away Team

• If the away team postpones or cancels a game on such short notice that the home team still has to pay the referees, the away team covers these costs.
• The away team pays for its own travel expenses.
• The away team changes its jersey colour if it cannot be sufficiently distinguished from the home team’s jerseys.

Negotiating Game Dates

The game dates are proposed in advance by the league administrator.

Each team may postpone games without restriction, as long as this is agreed upon with the opponent.

Please inform the opponent by phone as early as possible if you are unable to attend, so that they can adjust their plans and notify the referees.

Deviating Rules

The 24-second rule is not mandatory.

Costs

There are no additional fees or penalties beyond the costs described above that arise from the obligations of the home and away teams (i.e., hall rental, jerseys, referees, scorer’s table, and travel).
