Teams:

Four teams are participating in the 2024 Amateur League:

• ASKÖ Basketball Club Villach Eagles
• BBC Spittal Lakers
• KOŠ Celovec
• IFX Hoopers

Each team receives access to the league’s competition system (see below) and must verify and update their contact and team data as needed.

Responsibilities of the Home Team:

• The home team schedules game dates in the competition system within the deadlines as described in the “Negotiating Game Dates” section.
• The home team appoints referees at its own expense.
• In the event of a game rescheduling, the home team promptly notifies the referees it has appointed.
• The home team provides the venue at its own expense.
• The home team provides the scorer’s table and timekeepers.
• The home team selects the jersey color; the away team must change jerseys if necessary.
• The home team enters the results into the competition system as soon as possible.

Responsibilities of the Away Team:

• The away team checks the entered dates within the deadlines as described in the “Negotiating Game Dates” section and contacts the home team if any dates cannot be met.
• If the away team reschedules or cancels a game at such short notice that the home team still has to pay the referees, the away team assumes these costs.
• The away team covers its own travel costs.
• The away team changes jersey color so it is sufficiently distinguishable from that of the home team.

Negotiating Game Dates:

Game dates are negotiated between the two teams for the first and second rounds using the competition system as follows:

The proposed or negotiated dates should fall, as far as possible, within the weeks designated in the round plan.

1. The home team enters the desired date and venue in the competition system under “Heim Termine” by:
   • November 3^rd for the first three rounds and
   • December 15^th for the remaining three rounds.
2. The away team checks the dates proposed by the home team under “Gast Termine” by:
   • November 10^th for the first three rounds and
   • December 23^rd for the remaining three rounds.
3. If a date cannot be met, the away team contacts the home team within these deadlines to negotiate a new date. The home team then updates the date in the competition system (again under “Home Dates”).

Game Rescheduling:

Each team may reschedule previously planned games in coordination with the opponent without restriction even later. However, game dates can no longer be changed by the home team in the competition system after the aforementioned deadlines.

Instead, the team requesting the rescheduling must notify the league administrator via email at wettspiel@basketball-villach.at.

Notify your opponent of any inability to attend as early as possible by phone, so they can make adjustments and inform the referees.

Exceptions to the Rules:

The 24-second rule is not mandatory.

Costs:

No additional fees or penalties apply beyond the costs associated with the obligations of the home and away teams as described above (such as venue, jerseys, referees, scorer’s table, and travel expenses).

• Team Data Control: Teams are listed under “Team Daten” and can be edited by clicking the pencil icon.
• Scheduling by the Home Team: Home game dates can be entered under “Heim Temine”.
• Reviewing Dates by the Away Team: Away dates can be viewed and checked under “Gast Termine”.
• Entering Results: Results can be entered under “Ergebnis Meldungen” and the game report must be scanned or photographed and uploaded.
• Other Features: In addition to all mentioned functions, teams can view all game dates and contact information for all teams and referees via the top menu.
• Results and Standings: The results of the games (as entered by the home teams), game dates, and current standings can be accessed at https://www.basketball-villach.at/ws_kobv/tabelle.
